At 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 7, the Nolensville Farmers Market opens its first winter session at the Historic Nolensville School, 7248 Nolensville Road. Two hours later, the town's Veterans Day parade starts at Rolling Hills Community Church and heads down that same road, through the Historic District, to Nolensville Park Road.
Four weeks later it happens again. The Holiday Parade runs the same route at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, and that is also a winter market morning. On both of the biggest Saturdays left on the 2026 calendar, the market and the parade share Nolensville Road with a two-hour gap between them. Shop first, watch second and eat third, and you can do all three without leaving the Historic District.
November 7 Starts an Hour Later Than You're Used To
The summer market runs 8 a.m. to noon through Saturday, October 31. The winter market starts November 7 and runs 9 a.m. to noon through April 24, 2027. If you've been showing up at 8 all season, you'll be early on the first winter Saturday. That's also the morning the street closes for the parade.
The later opening leaves two hours of shopping before the parade steps off. A workable Saturday on November 7 looks like this:
- 9:00 a.m. The winter market opens at the Historic Nolensville School. It's a producer-only market, and everything is sourced within Middle Tennessee: produce, meat, baked goods, eggs, dairy and handmade goods.
- Before 11:00 a.m. Finish shopping and put the bags in the car before the parade comes down Nolensville Road.
- 11:00 a.m. The Veterans Day parade leaves Rolling Hills Community Church and comes down Nolensville Road through the Historic District.
- Noon The market closes for the day.
The town's Veterans Day page gives the parade route and detours. It doesn't list a time for the road closure, so build in some slack. Check that page again in the first week of November in case the town adds details. The same page asks veterans to fill out a short information form for a presentation the town shares on its website.
The Detours Matter More Than the Parade Route
The parade goes straight down the middle of town, so the detours shape the morning if you're driving in from the edges. These are the four routes the town lists on its Veterans Day page.
| If you're coming from | Posted detour |
|---|---|
| Southbound Nolensville Rd., heading to the east side of town | Left on Kidd Rd., right on McFarlin Rd., right on Fly Rd., right on Rock Springs Rd., then Rocky Fork Rd. toward Smyrna or toward Nolensville |
| Southbound Nolensville Rd., heading west or toward Brentwood | Right on Brittan Ln., continue on Maxwell Ln., then Waller Rd. toward Sunset Rd. or Concord Rd. |
| Northbound Nolensville Rd. | Right on Rocky Fork, left on Rock Springs Rd., left on Fly Rd., left on McFarlin Rd., left on Kidd Rd., left on Nolensville Rd. toward Concord Rd. |
| East on Sunset Rd. | Right on Madison Mill Dr., left on Gleaves Ln., left on Rose Garden Ln., right on Ivey Manor Dr., right on Madison Mill Dr., left on Sam Donald, right on Old Clovercroft Rd. |
These detours are long. The Kidd Road loop alone runs through McFarlin, Fly and Rock Springs before it comes back to Rocky Fork. If you're shopping at the market and want to leave before the parade ends, plan your exit with the same care as your arrival. The Holiday page lists detours for December 5 in the same format, starting with the Kidd Road route.
December Turns It Into a Two-Day Event
November 7 is one busy Saturday. December 5 comes right after a full Friday night at Town Hall, so it's the second half of a two-day stretch. The town has posted the schedule:
- Friday, December 4, 6:00 p.m. Storytime with Santa and Mrs. Claus in the Town Hall Board Room, hosted by the Town Events Advisory Committee. Space is first come, first served, and only one parent can attend per family.
- Friday, December 4, 7:00 p.m. The tree lighting at Town Hall, with Santa and Mrs. Claus, a coffee food truck and the Nolensville High School Choir.
- Saturday, December 5, 9:00 a.m. The winter market opens at the Historic Nolensville School.
- Saturday, December 5, 11:00 a.m. The Holiday Parade leaves Rolling Hills Community Church, comes down Nolensville Road through the Historic District and ends on Nolensville Park Road.
Storytime starts an hour before the tree lighting, and both are at Town Hall, so families with young kids can do both without moving the car. Because seating is limited and only one parent is allowed in, the second parent can hold a good spot outside for the lighting.
If your business, team or group wants to be in the Holiday Parade, the town needs entries by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 30. Every participant also has to sign a waiver.
Where to Eat on a Parade Morning
Nolensville Road has one fewer breakfast spot than it did last parade season. Better Days Diner at 7240 Nolensville Road served its last meal on Sunday, September 13. The Williamson Source closure report says the 1950s-style diner had operated as Hwy 55 before it was rebranded about three years ago. Over more than a decade, it served local families, high school football teams and fans, Bible study groups and others.
Two Historic District spots fit the morning's timing:
- Just Love Coffee at 7216 Nolensville Road opens at 7 a.m. on Saturdays and closes at 4 p.m. It opens two hours before the winter market, so you can get coffee and breakfast before shopping.
- Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint at 7223 Nolensville Road, Suite C, is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. It opens at 11, the same time the parade starts, so it's the obvious lunch stop once the parade has passed.
With both spots and the market on the same stretch of Nolensville Road, you can park once for the whole morning: coffee at 7216, the market at 7248, the parade from the street and lunch at 7223. Park before the road closes and stay put until the parade is over. The Historic Nolensville School's event center page says the property has plenty of parking, but that refers to the venue in general, not the market or the parade.
After the Parades, the Market Takes Two Weeks Off
The parades end on December 5, but the winter market keeps going, with one break. The market's own calendar lists Saturdays through December 19, skips December 26 and January 2, and picks up again January 9. From there it runs every Saturday through April 24, 2027. If you're planning holiday meals around the market, December 19 is the last Saturday of the year.
A few more things to know before your first winter visit:
- Dogs aren't allowed at the market. This matters on parade days, when bringing the dog along might seem like an easy way to combine the walk with the outing.
- In past winters, the market posted that it was open rain or shine and stayed at the Historic Nolensville School from November through April. An earlier November post also announced a handful of new winter vendors selling farm-fresh food and handmade crafts. The 2026–27 winter vendor application is posted on the market's site, so the lineup on November 7 will reflect this year's applications.
- The market map on its website is the place to check vendors before you go. The map is built on Marketspread and lists vendors by name.
This fall's busy calendar comes in the town's 30th year. Founders Day on October 3 marked Nolensville's 30th birthday. The next Saturday on the market calendar after this post goes up is October 24, still on summer hours, 8 a.m. to noon.
At Move Up Home Group, we track these Nolensville Road Saturdays because we spend time on that road too. If you're planning a fall listing photo shoot, an open house or a move-in date in Nolensville, check it against November 7 and December 5 before you lock it in, and call us to work out the timing.
