Move Up Home Group is excited to announce that Matt Meyer has joined our team as Director of Sales & Business Development. In his new role, Matt will lead agent training, coaching and strategic planning with one goal: helping every agent on our team reach and surpass their goals.
A Leader Built on Coaching
Matt comes to real estate after a career in education and youth athletics. He has served as a school administrator and dean, school resource officer, athletic director, and head baseball and basketball coach. He started coaching youth sports at just 16 years old. In all, Matt brings close to 30 years of coaching, leading and guiding people.
"I didn't get successful on my own, and I didn't get good at what I do by myself. So how can I expect anyone I work with to get better at something without help? My experiences and my mistakes can help somebody else find success and be a better provider without having to live through their own failure."
Matt Meyer, Director of Sales & Business Development
Matt holds a degree in criminal justice, and he says the part of leadership he loves most is watching people grow. "I lead by connection," he said. "My training and coaching is often very individualized. If I'm coaching three people on the same thing, we'll have a class. Otherwise it's one-on-one, built around what that person needs."
Why Move Up Home Group
Matt and his family relocated to Tennessee from Illinois to set his kids up in a better place. Shortly after arriving, he started following Move Up Home Group on social media.
"I saw the team, I saw Christian, and I saw the culture coming through on social media. And of course I know and respect Keller Williams," Matt said. "Joining something that is known and comfortable, and that has a clear vision of where it wants to go, means I can be a part of that and help make it happen."
What This Means for Our Agents and Clients
Matt's focus is helping each agent hit their goals through intelligent planning and strategic action. That means anticipating the hurdles agents will face and having a solution ready before the problem arrives.
"None of us are mind readers and none of us have a crystal ball, but we can be proactive instead of reactive," Matt said. "You name it, I'm there. Closing a deal, being more effective on a phone call, even budgeting for an agent. Soup to nuts."
He's also clear that results matter. "My job is to drive revenue. It's to add dollars to agents' pockets and to the company," he said. "If I'm not providing that value, I'm not doing my job."
For our clients, that means a team of agents who are better prepared, better supported and more consistent at every stage of a sale or purchase. It builds on a track record we're proud of:
- #1 producing group at Keller Williams in 2024 and 2025
- $110.8 million in closed volume across 2024 and 2025
- 117+ closings and $60 million+ in volume so far in 2026
- 174+ five-star reviews on Google and Zillow
Outside the Office
Matt and his wife will celebrate 22 years of marriage this November, and he counts his family as his proudest accomplishment. With a mother, sister and wife who are all teachers, coaching and teaching have always felt natural to him. "My goal has been to teach and guide my kids to be smart, well-equipped, productive members of society who are also good people," he said.
And true to form, he took on real estate to keep himself growing. "When you're comfortable, you're not growing," Matt said. "I force myself to find ways to be uncomfortable, and I expect the same of myself here."
"Everyone on the team is excited to have Matt here. We know we've got the rocket fuel. Matt is the one who's going to help us figure out which buttons to push."
